Days before Election Day, hundreds of thousands of Marylanders have already registered their choices through early and mail-in voting.
Registered voters can vote early in person at any designated center in their home jurisdiction from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. through Thursday (those eligible to vote who aren’t registered may register at a center). For mail-in voting, voters have until 8 p.m. Nov. 5 to postmark their ballot or place it in a dropbox (mail-in ballots can be requested as late as Friday if the voter is OK receiving their ballot via email but must be requested by Tuesday if they wish to received it by mail or fax.)
The charts below track ballots received each way. The first section shows the share of early votes and accepted mail-in ballots by jurisdiction and for the entire state as a percentage of 2020 overall turnout. The second section compares the cumulative number of early votes through each day of early voting in 2020 and 2024.
